Thank you for your interest in joining the DSAI! 

DSAI is an independent all-Ireland association of researchers, scholars, policymakers and practitioners working in the area of international development. It is a membership-based and membership-driven association, including individual members, institutional members, honorary members and subscribers.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

Annual Individual Membership is currently offered as part of the Annual Conference and or Seasonal School registration fee.

Being a member of DSA Ireland helps you stay informed on latest updates from across the development studies community in Ireland. It also provides opportunities to actively connect with others in the community across research, policy and practice.  

  • Study Group membership — we currently have nine active study groups and a postgraduate network group which you can join.
  • Networking opportunities to connect with a community of like-minded people working in development, through our annual conferenceautumn/summer school and other events. 
  • Stay informed on latest updates — news, job opportunities, calls for papers, and events.
  • Promote your own publications or research through the network.
  • Share your news and post notices for research or policy collaborations or support. Whether you are an individual researcher, NGO practitioner or part of a research project and are looking for collaborators, expertise, advice or inputs on policy or research designs/proposals — post your announcement through our network.
  • Eligibility to stand for election and serve on DSAI’s Steering Committee and have the right to vote at any general meeting of the Association. Read more about our Steering Committee, Organisation Structure and Constitution here.

INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERSHIP — HEIs & NGOs

We welcome Annual Institutional Members from Irish HEI and NGO sectors. Institutional membership packages can be bought year-round.

  • HEI’s Course Listings are included on DSAI’s Course Directory / NGO membership includes two tickets to DSAI’s Annual Conference.
  • Study Group membership — we currently have nine active study groups and a postgraduate network group which you can join.

This includes two tickets for DSAI’s Annual Conference. Names for participation at the conference can be notified to DSAI up to two weeks before the event.
