DSAI Autumn/Summer School

The DSAI Autumn/Summer School is a regular programme of workshops, talks and seminars exploring research methods for development, engaging NGOs, policy makers, and academics both as contributors to the programme and as participants. 

Summer School

The two-day Research Methods Summer School is usually hosted in a regional location and has been held at TUS Thurles in 2024 and 2022, SETU Carlow in 2023, NUI Maynooth in partnership with the Climate & Development Study Group in 2021, and the Centre for Global Development, University College Cork in 2019.

Autumn School

In 2025, the school took a one-day autumn format, hosted online on the theme of Indigenous Knowledge and Practice: an optimistic response to the global funding crisis?

Autumn School 2026: Skills and Methods for Development Studies and Research in Times of Uncertainty
