JRS Ireland report, 'Protection with Dignity - A Human Response to Global Forced Displacement', traces trends and responses around the growing issues of forced displacement, worrying examples of a re-emerged Fortress Europe mentality, and related access to protection challenges within Ireland.

The report is based on research funded by Misean Cara, through Irish Jesuits International, to analyse global to local dimensions of international protection in the wake of the Global Compacts on Refugees and on Migration. It presents evidence-based recommendations aimed at reframing global, EU and Irish responses in a more humane way, rooted in humanitarian and human rights obligations.

Published on 3 November, the report also offers recommendations to help reframe the response to global forced displacement through an emphasis on 'protection with dignity'.
