Christian Aid Ireland invite the development community to an event to mark the launch of their new report, Undermining human rights: Ireland, the ESB and Cerrejón coal. The report looks at the relationship between the ESB, and the Cerrejón mine in Colombia which has been accused of multiple human rights abuses, and assesses whether Ireland is living up to its international human rights commitments, in particular the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
There will be short presentation on the findings of the report, followed by a brief questions and answer session with a panel.
