CSDS Seminar_Community Engagement - Naledi Joyi_20231130

When: F301 Newman Building, University College Dublin

Where: 12pm - 1pm, Thurs 30th November

The Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR) is a South African non-profit organisation that has worked to understand violence, heal its effects, reconcile communities and build sustainable peace in South Africa, the continent and the wider world. In this seminar, Naledi Joyi will discuss the organisation's approach to community interventions, which is based on participatory research. Naledi will present the methodology used in a recent report that explored the context-specific factors which enabled the continuous rise of rape in a rural town in the Eastern Cape, called Lusikisiki. All welcome. Please contact caitriona.dowd@ucd.ie for more info.
