Plan2Inclusivize – Sport for Inclusion

-

Plan International

Plan2Inclusivize is a program that believes in the power of sport as a medium to bring positive change. P2I has been developed for the countries in the Global South, but we have piloted successfully in Ireland as well.

When: Monday 8th April from 11am-1pm

Where: King’s Inns, Henrietta St, Dublin 1.

Developed by Plan International and UNESCO, this approach aims to normalise the social inclusion of children with disabilities through inclusive sports and play in
development and humanitarian contexts, so that more children with disabilities can realise their right to education.
The event will be hosted by journalist Diana Bunici who recently visited the pilot project in Jordan.
The approach has been successfully piloted and we look forward to sharing these learnings with you at the launch, where speakers will include the experts who developed the programme and high profile sportspeople. We will share information about a training toolkit, so you can apply this approach in your
programme or organisation if you wish.

Who should attend: Practitioners working directly with children and young people or those working to mainstream disability. Tea and coffee will be provided.

The event is free and open to all but spaces are limited.

To reserve your place please send an e-mail to Wilson Lisa Lisa.Wilson@plan-international.org
