RCSI host first Dublin Meeting in Patient-Centred Global Surgery

Where: 6.30-7.30pm on Tuesday 15th, in the Desmond Auditorium, RCSI, 26 York Street, Dublin 2 (15th) and Online (16th)

The opening event is in-person, and will be an "in Conversation with" Dr Mpoki Ulisubisya.  Dr Mpoki is President of CANECSA, the College of Anaesthesiologists of East, Central and Southern Africa.  He is also former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health and the current Tanzanian High Commissioner to Canada.  He will be speaking with Prof Mark Shrime, O'Brien Chair of Global Surgery at RCSI. 

This event is taking place from 6.30-7.30pm on Tuesday 15th, in the Desmond Auditorium, RCSI, 26 York Street, Dublin 2.  Free of charge. 

The meeting on the 16th is online and will feature scientific presentations and three further excellent Keynote Speakers who are global surgery and global health champions:

  • Dr Hisham Abdullah, Director-General of Health, Malaysia @DGHisham
  • Dr C. Alessandra Colaianni, Oregon Health and Science University @alessacolaMD
  • Professor Agnes Binagwaho, University of Global Health Equity @agnesbinagwaho

There is a fee to attend on the 16th but if the fee is a barrier, please email globalsurgery@rcsi.com and we will find a way around this.
