TIME Summer School in Impact Evaluation

-

This September, Trinity College Dublin and the Trinity Impact Evaluation Unit (TIME) in collaboration with Irish Aid, will host a summer school providing expert training to development practitioners, NGO personnel, policy makers and postgraduate students on the methodologies used for impact evaluation.

The course will explore some of the more advanced techniques used to measure the impact of programs and policy interventions. It will provide guidance on the challenges involved in carrying out evaluations and present practical examples of the types of evaluations conducted in developing countries. Participants will be involved in a group project and presentation to facilitate a discussion on the issues related to evaluating programme effectiveness and to enhance learning by bringing together different perspectives.

The summer school will take place over 3 days – September 11th- 13th 2017, with a statistics boot-camp available on September 9th. Applications are currently being assessed on a rolling basis and should be submitted no later than August 7th.
