Join Caroline J. Sherman and Claire F. O’Reilly for the launch of their diamond open access text, The Right to Food, the Reality of Hunger: Insecurity and Agency at the Margins.
This edited text includes contributions from colleagues in organisations of persons with disabilities, practitioners, policy-makers and academics. While the focus is on persons with disabilities the book and event takes an intersectional lens. It takes a global perspective but also contains specific contributions from colleagues in Gaza, Somalia and South Africa.
The launch will feature renowned scholar of famine Alex de Waal in conversation with the editors, alongside a wine reception. The event is open to the public. It will be of particular interest to anyone working on issues of food systems, equality, development or humanitarian response and academics and students in global health, development practice, human geography or law.
