Call for Tenders: DSAI Study Groups Review

Issued on

Call for tender (1920 x 600 px)

The Development Studies Association Ireland (DSAI) invites tenders to undertake a review of the DSAI Study Groups.

DSAI’s Study Groups bring together researchers, practitioners and policymakers to facilitate focused discussion across key themes of development studies. The review will consider the objectives, nature, structure and working of the Study Groups, build on their achievements, strengths and perceived opportunities, and identify where and how the Study Groups might best be strengthened. It will also consider how the Study Groups contribute to DSAI’s overall mission and impact.

The consultant will:

  • Review the objectives, progress and workings of the DSAI Study Groups.
  • Consult with current and former Study Group Convenors, ordinary members, current and past Chairs, and the Coordinator.
  • Explore what has worked well and the key challenges faced by the Study Groups over the last five years.
  • Gather suggestions for how the Study Groups might be more active or work better.
  • Identify any overlaps or synergies between the Study Groups that may support greater effectiveness or efficiency.
  • Prepare a succinct report with findings and targeted recommendations.
  • Present the findings and recommendations to the DSAI Steering Committee.

Timeline

The review will take place between September and November 2026 and is expected to comprise approximately 10–15 working days.
