The DSAI recently attended a meeting on Corporate Tax: Fairness, Responsibility and Leadership: Multi-stakeholder dialogue at Dublin Castle, 16th February 2017. Sorley McCaugheyof Christian Aid gave an excellent presentation and innovative proposals on the topic of 'Tax Transparency & the Global South'.

Other speakers included Katherine Zappone speaking about 'Corporate Tax Equity: Leading with Responsibility' Dr. Andreas Strub, General Secretariat, Council of the European Union; Monica Bhatia, Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes; Jane McCormick, KPMG UK; Dr. Sheila Killian, University of Limerick; Logan Wort, African Tax Administration Forum; Paul Monaghan, Fair Tax Mark and Corporate Responsibility Specialist; Eamonn O'Dea, Revenue Commissioners; Martin McEwen, Head of Tax, SSE PLC.

Opening remarks, keynote address and closing remarks were given by the Taoiseach Enda Kenny, Michael Noonan TD Minister for Finance, and Joe McHugh T.D., Minister of State for the Diaspora and International Development respectively.
