Future Innovator Prize - Open for New Ideas

Science Foundation Ireland has launched two new challenges under the ‘Future Innovator Prize’ Programme, each offering teams the opportunity to compete for prize awards of €2 million. 

The SFI Food Challenge will support the development of novel, potentially disruptive, sustainable STEM-led solutions to reduce food loss and waste across the full breadth of the food supply chain from “farm to fork”.

The SFI Plastics Challenge will support the development of innovative STEM-led solutions that will enable the sustainable use of plastics in a circular economy, restore and preserve our oceans’ health, and maximise how we use the Earth's finite resources.

SFI is partnering with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to support additional teams under these Challenges. Teams funded under this partnership will focus on delivering impact in countries where Ireland’s official development assistance is directed. 

 

Deadline: 25 September 2020

Applications must be submitted via SFI’s SESAME Platform – accessible by the end of July.
