The next event in the DSAI Postgraduate Network dialogue series, 'Issues in Postgraduate Research' will take place on 25th September 2020. The Posgraduate Network will host two postgraduate guest speakers, Garima Meheshwari and Rachna Shanbog and the event will be chaired by Dr Edward Lahiff.

  • Garima Maheshwari - Garima's research on 'Local level governance of global atmospheric commons in India’ will be presenting the rationale and key issues/questions of her doctoral work, the methodology and touch upon some generalised conclusions. Garima Maheshwari is in the final year of PhD at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
  • Rachna Shanbog - Rachna's research on 'India's Foreign Aid Policy and Programme' will discuss her research question, research design, methodology, a brief background on India as a development partner, and how she has been undertaking her research work in the past 5 months. Rachna Shanbog is in the 4th year of the PhD programme at the School of Law and Government, Dublin City University.
  • Dr Edward Lahiff is Programme Director for International Development at the Department of Food Business and Development in UCC.  He is also Principal Investigator on the project ‘Social Inclusion of rural migrants in Hanoi City, Vietnam’, supported by Irish Aid and the Irish Research Council (2019-21).

The presentations will be followed by open conversations.
