Rebuilding Sudan After Catastrophe: State Collapse, National Recovery, and the Architecture of Renewal

Issued on

This book brings together international contributors from medicine, public health, economics, law, political science, anthropology, environmental studies, urban planning, education, and civic governance to address the catastrophic situation in Sudan.

Each chapter is grounded in original experience, empirical evidence, or sustained engagement with Sudanese institutions and communities. Together, they form both a documented record of collapse and a coordinated effort to imagine recovery and renewal.

The editors are Ahmed El Safi (a physician and President of the Sudanese Writers Union), Abdelbagi Ahmed (clinician and academic), and Gerard McCann (academic and international development policy adviser).

The volume is published by The Global Dimension | SAANI, with the open-access copy made available through DSAI’s Resource Library.
